They need to keep the non pro model nearer to £500

Everyone keeps saying why go back to punch hole after pop up camera. Obviously to save cost. The 7/7t left the pop up camera out to sell for cheaper. It obviously is expensive to manufacture and they have been increasing prices yearly. Makes sense they'll try to also keep manufacturing cost down. Oneplus were very affordable but that was clearly to gain market share so they could start to increase prices later. Not complaining, it makes great business sense. I'd do the same.

So you are saying that updates from 7T pro to 8 will be so small as in this video you explain? Oneplus has always bringing something totally new features to their phone, and i don´t believe that those features changes will be so small as you say. There is rumors about waterfall screen as well as 120hz screen. There is no point for Oneplus to stay in technology which starts to be old in 2020. What comes to front camera is that it split opinions. And as far as Oneplus respect and listen to their fans. They going to keep both options, probably basic "8" will have under the screen camera and "pro" model will have pop-up camera. Also it is kind of pointless for all this new screen features to have 4000mha battery, will be probably closer to 4500mha. Well we will see on next year, i think Oneplus will bring something totally new on markets.

Glad they got rid of pop up camera. It's now time for everyone to perfect in display cameras.

Going with the hole punch design is a mistake. Stick with the pop up camera instead. It is the best feature on their phone. Everytime I use the popup selfie camera people are amazed by the tech.

Pretty sad if this is true. Such a regression in design. OnePlus was the only OEM to bring a full screen display to the US. This would just be them copycatting the worst design of 2019

I'm a Samsung fan-boy, but OnePlus is looking great. I appreciate how they pass off savings to the customers for a cheaper flagship phone.

I can't do the punch out. It's the reason I jumped to the Oneplus 7 pro. I guess Samsung can get my business back if they get rid of that hole. I just can't do it.

If you hate the punch hole notch then the 7t Pro is the best option. This is a step backwards.

This is literally just a worse s10 design. The s10 has no camera bump while still being small enough to handle it one handed.

I don't believe it will be with punch hole camera. There's no reason after having a pop-up in-screen camera. It might be pop-up or… under display 🙂
