Realme X50 Pro 5G to launch on February 24 as India’s first 5G smartphone

Realme has one-upped iQOO in its quest (no pun intended) to launch the first 5G smartphone in India. The manufacturer has announced that the Realme X50 Pro 5G will launch in New Delhi on 24th February. The date is a day earlier than iQOO’s own launch event for the iQOO 3 set for February 25 in China.

The Realme X50 Pro 5G launch will begin at 2:30 PM IST. The phone will also be announced on the same day in Madrid, Spain at 10:00 AM CET which is also 2:30 PM in India. Based on this, it will be a simultaneous launch in both cities.

The Realme X50 Pro will have a Snapdragon 865 processor and an X55 5G modem. It will also have dual front-facing cameras housed inside a pill-shaped punch hole. The display is a Super AMOLED panel with a 90Hz refresh rate.

Other confirmed features are 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB storage, Android 10, and support for 60W SuperDart fast charge. Realme has also confirmed that the phone will ship with a 65W GaN charger included in the box.
