new accessory has quietly appeared in the Wireless Power Consortium database, and it could be our best hint yet that Samsung is finally preparing to embrace Qi2 wireless charging with the upcoming Galaxy S26 series.
For years, rumours suggested Samsung would join the Qi2 rollout starting with the Galaxy S25. Instead, the company skipped full support on the devices themselves and released Qi2-compatible cases as a workaround. Now it’s looking increasingly likely that the real upgrade is coming with next year’s flagship lineup — and a leaked power accessory is fuelling that speculation.

Samsung’s “Magnet Wireless Battery Pack” surfaces
A listing spotted by 9to5Google shows a new Samsung product certified under the name “Magnet Wireless Battery Pack.”
The entry confirms support for Qi 2.1.0 along with 15W wireless output, which aligns with the requirements of the Qi2 magnetic charging standard.
The accessory is shown with a clean rectangular build, a magnetic ring on the upper half, and a noticeable cut-out above the ring. That design choice may have a practical purpose.
Design aligns with leaked Galaxy S26 dummy units
Earlier dummy models of the Galaxy S26 series showed a circular charging coil positioned very close to the camera housing — a layout that strongly suggests Qi2 compatibility. If that design carries over to the final product, a carve-out on Samsung’s new battery pack would help it attach flush to the phone without colliding with the camera bump.
Taken together, the accessory listing and the leaked S26 hardware lines point toward Samsung finally joining the growing number of manufacturers offering Qi2-ready devices.
