Apple’s long-awaited foldable iPhone is finally coming into focus, and new details give us the clearest picture yet of what the Apple iPhone Fold will look like.
Using leaked information, we’ve created exclusive renders of the Apple iPhone Fold, showcasing Apple’s take on a book-style foldable — and a design that tackles one of the biggest limitations foldable phones still face today.
Apple’s Foldable Enters a Streamlined iPhone Line-Up
This year, Apple is expected to streamline its iPhone releases, launching just three devices:
- iPhone 18 Pro
- iPhone 18 Pro Max
- Apple iPhone Fold
Other iPhone models are expected to arrive later, allowing Apple to focus its main launch around premium and next-generation hardware. The iPhone Fold sits firmly at the top of that line-up.

Book-Style Design With No Visible Crease
Apple explored multiple foldable form factors, including clamshell designs, before settling on a book-style foldable.
The standout achievement is the internal display.
The folding screen has no visible crease from any angle.
Apple achieves this using a metal plate beneath the display to evenly distribute bending pressure, paired with a liquid-metal hinge designed for long-term durability and precise alignment. The result is a folding display that appears completely flat when opened.

Display Sizes and Thickness
The Apple iPhone Fold features two displays designed for real-world usability:
- 5.5-inch external display
- Punch-hole camera centred at the top
- 7.8-inch internal folding display
- Wide, tablet-like aspect ratio
- Punch-hole camera positioned in the top-left corner
Thickness:
- 9mm when folded
- 4.5mm when unfolded
This makes the iPhone Fold one of the thinnest book-style foldables to date.

Camera Layout and Touch ID
There are four cameras in total:
- Punch-hole selfie camera on the external display
- Punch-hole camera on the internal folding display
- Dual rear cameras housed in a raised horizontal camera bar, similar in shape to Apple’s recent designs
Notably, Face ID is not used on the iPhone Fold. Instead, Apple integrates Touch ID into the power button, positioned on the top-left edge of the device, above the rear camera module. This allows fast biometric access in both folded and unfolded states.

C2 Modem, Dual Batteries, and Efficiency
The Apple iPhone Fold uses Apple’s in-house C2 modem, paired with two high-density battery cells. Thanks to a thinner display driver and Apple’s focus on efficiency, battery life is expected to remain strong despite the large internal display.
Colours and Pricing
The iPhone Fold is expected to launch in Black and White colour options.
Pricing is estimated to fall between $2,000 and $2,500, positioning the iPhone Fold as Apple’s most premium iPhone yet.
The design and hardware details used for these renders are based on leaked information shared by Jon Prosser.
