Samsung Unveils New 25W Wireless Charger for Galaxy S26 Series
Samsung is preparing to upgrade its wireless charging capabilities with the introduction of a new 25W wireless charger, likely designed for the upcoming Galaxy S26 series. This marks a significant improvement over last year’s Galaxy S25 series, which supported 15W wireless charging via the Qi2 standard but did not offer any speed enhancements compared to previous models. The first images of this new accessory, dubbed the Samsung Magnet Wireless Charger, have been shared by SamMobile, revealing key details about the device.
Key Features and Specifications
The Samsung Magnet Wireless Charger, identified by the model number EP-P2900BBEGWW, supports the Qi2 wireless charging standard and is rated to deliver up to 25W of power. This likely corresponds to the Qi2.2 specification finalised by the Wireless Power Consortium last year, which allows for faster wireless charging speeds up to 25W. The charger itself features a wireless charging puck connected to a braided USB-C cable and is expected to be available in black.
According to the packaging, achieving the peak 25W output requires using an official Samsung 45W Power Adapter or any other compatible adapter that supports the PPS 20V specification at 45W or higher. Additionally, users will need a Qi2-ready case with Magnetic Power Profile (MPP) alignment to enable the magnetic attachment and efficient charging. The box also states compatibility with the Galaxy S25 series and later models when paired with a magnetic case, and suggests it will work with other Qi2/MagSafe-enabled smartphones such as the iPhone 12 and newer, Google Pixel 10 and above, and HMD Skyline devices.

Context and Previous Leaks
This new wireless charger is not the only Qi2 accessory Samsung is developing for its next-generation devices. Earlier leaks revealed images of a Qi2 power bank capable of delivering up to 15W wireless charging and 20W wired charging through compatible USB-C cables. The move towards higher wireless charging speeds aligns with Samsung’s strategy to enhance user convenience and keep pace with competitors offering faster wireless charging solutions.
Last year’s Galaxy S25 series introduced the Qi2 standard but without any speed improvements, so the jump to 25W wireless charging with the Galaxy S26 Ultra or other models in the series would be a notable upgrade. The magnetic alignment feature also suggests a more seamless charging experience, similar to Apple’s MagSafe technology.

What to Expect Next
As Samsung prepares for the Galaxy S26 launch, the arrival of this new 25W wireless charger indicates a focus on improving wireless charging performance and accessory ecosystem. It will be interesting to see how Samsung integrates these enhancements into its flagship devices and whether the magnetic charging system will become a standard feature across the range. Fans should watch for official announcements and further leaks as the launch date approaches.
