Galaxy S26 Pricing Details Surface Ahead of Launch
As the launch of Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series approaches, fresh leaks have emerged revealing pricing details for the upcoming smartphones in the European market. Notably, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to be priced lower than its predecessor, which could be a pleasant surprise for fans of Samsung’s flagship line.
Key Pricing and Storage Changes
According to information shared by tipster Roland Quandt, the base Galaxy S26 model is likely to start with 256GB of storage, a step up from the 128GB base storage seen in the Galaxy S25. This upgrade comes with a price increase of approximately €200 compared to the Galaxy S25’s base variant. Additionally, opting for the 512GB storage option on the Galaxy S26 will be more expensive than before.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26+ with 256GB storage is expected to maintain pricing similar to the Galaxy S25+ with the same storage capacity. The most striking change is with the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which could be priced around €100 less than the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The 512GB version of the Ultra is also anticipated to be cheaper than its predecessor, while the top-tier 1TB model is likely to retain the previous pricing.
Context and Additional Details
These pricing insights come specifically from the Swedish market, where the local currency and higher VAT rates influence the final cost. Therefore, prices in other European Union countries and the United States might vary. The leak also indicates that Samsung will not provide free storage upgrades for customers who pre-order any of the Galaxy S26 models, a detail that may affect purchasing decisions.
Samsung’s strategy to increase base storage on the standard model aligns with industry trends, as consumers increasingly demand more onboard space for apps, media, and files. The reduction in the Ultra’s price could be a tactical move to boost competitiveness against other flagship devices.
What to Expect Next
With the Galaxy S26 series launch drawing near, further leaks and official announcements are expected to clarify the full specifications and pricing across various regions. Potential buyers should keep an eye on updates to make informed decisions once the phones become available.
