New EU Energy Labels Shed Light on Samsung Galaxy A57 and A37

Samsung’s upcoming mid-range smartphones, the Galaxy A57 and Galaxy A37, have recently appeared in the spotlight with the release of their EU Energy Labels. These labels provide valuable insights into the battery life, durability, and overall efficiency of the devices, signalling that their launch is imminent. Both models show promising battery endurance and enhanced water and dust resistance compared to their predecessors.

Battery Life and Durability Upgrades

The EU Energy Labels indicate that the Galaxy A57 offers a battery life of approximately 52 hours, while the Galaxy A37 slightly edges that with 53 hours. Notably, both devices now boast IP68 certification for dust and water resistance, an improvement over the IP67 rating found on the previous models. This upgrade means users can expect better protection against water immersion and dust ingress.

However, there is a notable change regarding battery longevity. Unlike their predecessors, which supported up to 2,000 full charge cycles before the battery capacity dropped below 80%, the new A57 and A37 are rated for only 1,200 cycles. This reduction in battery cycle durability aligns with a similar trend observed in Samsung’s recent Galaxy S26 flagship series.

Additional Ratings and Expected Launch

Both the Galaxy A57 and A37 have achieved an overall energy efficiency rating of A, which is a positive sign for power consumption. In terms of repairability, both phones received a C rating, suggesting moderate ease of repair. The A57 stands out with an A rating for drop resistance, whereas the A37 received a B, indicating slightly less resilience to physical impact.

According to the latest rumours, Samsung is expected to officially unveil the Galaxy A57 and A37 as soon as next month. These mid-range devices will likely appeal to consumers seeking robust battery life and improved durability at a competitive price point.

Looking Ahead

As Samsung prepares to expand its mid-range lineup, the Galaxy A57 and A37’s EU Energy Labels offer a glimpse into the company’s focus on balancing battery performance with durability enhancements. It will be interesting to see how these devices perform in real-world usage and how they compare to their predecessors once officially launched.
