Google Pixel 10a Details Leak Ahead of Official Launch
Google is gearing up to officially launch the Pixel 10a on February 18, and while the design has already been confirmed, fresh leaks have now unveiled the phone’s full specifications and pricing. Contrary to earlier rumours suggesting the Pixel 10a would be little more than a Pixel 9a with a new colour scheme, recent reports indicate some notable upgrades that set the new model apart.
Key Specifications and Features
According to German tech blog WinFuture, which cites retailer data, the Pixel 10a retains much of the Pixel 9a’s core hardware but introduces several improvements. The display remains a 6.3-inch P-OLED panel with a 2,424 x 1,080 resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, complete with an under-display fingerprint scanner. However, the glass protection has been upgraded from Gorilla Glass 3 to Gorilla Glass 7i, promising better durability.
Under the hood, the Pixel 10a continues to use Google’s Tensor G4 chipset, paired with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and options for 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The battery capacity remains steady at 5,100mAh, but the phone is slightly lighter at 183 grams compared to the Pixel 9a, which weighed 186 grams. Dimensions have also shifted marginally to 153.9 x 73 x 9 mm from the previous 154.7 x 73.3 x 8.9 mm.

Charging speeds see a significant boost, with support for 45W fast charging compared to the 23W on the Pixel 9a. However, the leak does not mention wireless charging capabilities, which were present on the Pixel 9a, leaving some uncertainty about whether this feature has been dropped or simply omitted from the leaked data.
Camera and Software
The Pixel 10a’s camera setup remains consistent with its predecessor, featuring a triple camera array that includes a 48MP primary sensor, a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 13MP front-facing camera. The device is expected to launch with Android 16 out of the box and will carry an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Google promises seven years of operating system and security updates, underscoring its commitment to long-term software support.
Colours and Pricing
In terms of aesthetics, the Pixel 10a will be available in four colour options: Obsidian (Black), Fog (a white/green blend), Lavender (a blue/purple shade), and Berry (a red/pink tone). Pricing in Europe has been revealed as €499 for the 8GB/128GB model and €599 for the 8GB/256GB variant. Early buyers who pre-order the 256GB version may benefit from a special offer, securing it at the lower 128GB price point.

Looking Ahead
With the Pixel 10a launch just around the corner, these leaks provide a comprehensive preview of what to expect. The enhancements in display protection, charging speed, and colour options suggest Google is refining its mid-range offering while maintaining the strong foundation laid by the Pixel 9a. It will be interesting to see if any additional features are revealed at the official unveiling and how the Pixel 10a performs in real-world use.
